Brotherhood

PAST

Thank you, Sam Silverman and Harry Bialor, for helping to provide the food and the video that made the night of our Brotherhood Sabbath in December such a huge success.

Looking into my crystal ball, I see the huge crowd, the delicious food and the fabulous speaker, Milton Pincus, who made our January meeting such a success. I am sure we learned a great deal about the true story of the relationship between Muslims and Jews in Israel. Thanks to everyone who participated.

PRESENT

On February 12 at 10:15 AM, following our regular 9:30 AM Brotherhood meeting, we will have a really special treat. Our own Dr. Ed Chapnick, a temple member, and an Internist and Director of the Infectious Diseases Department at Maimonides Hospital, will speak on how to avoid infectious diseases and stay healthy.

We highly suggest that everyone make every effort to attend and support a fellow temple member who is nice enough to speak to us on this important topic. As I am sure Ed would agree, it is no fun to be sick, and hospital food is nothing to rave about, so it is important to try to stay well.

UPCOMING

Don't forget: The Brotherhood Luncheon honoring our co-presidents, Marvin and Joel, will be held at Rex Manor on Sunday, March 18, at 12:30 PM. Please send in your reservations ASAP if you have not already done so. We are limited to the first 200 people and you do not want to be shut out. We can promise great food and the Cantor and friends will supply the entertainment. You might even win one of our unforgettable raffle prizes!

I noticed that the women have at least 41 members in their wonderful group. This will be hard to beat since we don't have 41 men in our temple. I am very angry at the post office…no wonder they are in such bad shape, since it

appears that some of the checks to Brotherhood from some men in our temple have failed to arrive. Please check to see that your check is not among the missing. I find it impossible to believe that some men in our temple would actually choose not to support Brotherhood. Your membership is always welcome!

Best Wishes for Good Health and Happiness.
